Who are we?
Founded in 2025, the Stone Soup Crew grew out of a community mission to help our local unhoused population in Capitol Hill. We are a volunteer organization dedicated to connecting people with resources in a tangible way.
Taking inspiration from the fable of Stone Soup, we envision a world where those who have the resources, time, and love to give to others are able to do so freely. When many people connect to give a small amount, they can have a global impact.
We donate what we can to help keep our local unhoused community warm, dry, and fed. Please see our "How to Help" page if you want to contribute!
Our Philosophy
We believe that:
-
Local communities matter
-
Individuals can make a difference
-
All people deserve dignity and respect, regardless of housing status
